Epigenetics- is the study of how behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect how our genes work: epigenome- multitudes of chemicals that can turn genes on and off. Methylation- ads methyl group to DNA. It turns off the genes (stops the protein from being made). Acetylation- adds acetyl group- turns genes on (a protein made more often). Biotechnology- use of microorganisms to make the suitable product.
